It's hard to see our little chickadees with such powerful tools and not be concerned! Last week I saw a neighbor's five year old wielding a hedge trimmer. Yikes!

My husband mentioned yesterday that he wants to teach our oldest son (11 in a few weeks) to use a chain saw this summer. I was like excuse me? I don't think he's quite ready for THAT yeat! Let's start with driving the tractor or something! My husband is a bit accident prone so hopefully he'll give him a couple more years before hooking him up to the chain saw!

It wasn't easy, but he loved it. Felt so grown up. I just had to keep saying to myself, "His feet are too far back to get cut off." :)
