I lost 0.7 of a pound,
bringing my weight-loss total (back) to 25.6 pounds!
That means I lost about half of what I gained last week which is really good considering I did not exercise this week at all. I have been fighting a really bad cold for a week now. Persistent coughing has kept me from sleeping well. I averaged 3 hours sleep per night and I could barely talk without coughing. I just didn't have the energy for the Gazelle and felt like deep breathing would cause me to cough so hard a lung might truly come up.
So it's slow going right now and will probably take me a full month to get back to where I was. But no one said this was going to be easy or that in order to keep my commitment things have to go well and be rosy.
But that's where I'll stop today because
- I'm still coughing profusely.
- My computer is running at a snail's pace.
- The boys need to practice their speeches for tomorrow's 4-H Project Achievement, and I need to listen and give feedback.
- I have been verging on a bad mood all week and am really not in a place to be a motivational writer.
Because it is taking me about 5 minutes to type every few lines, I won't type a list of prayer requests either. Please pray for my typical requests.
Let me know how you're doing!
Happy Healthy Living!

But doesn't it feel good to know that someday you won't be so dependent on exercise? You've just proven that by losing even with no exercise for the week.
Not that when we reach our goal we never have to exercise again, but that we will be able to maintain our weight just by healthy eating and letting exercise be more about pleasure. At least that's what I try to tell myself -- otherwise the idea of having to do the treadmill 5 days a week when I'm 70 just depresses me. : )
I think you did great this week, especially since you've been so sick. I'll be praying for you!
I'm with Kellie--you've had a great week! And -.7 of a pound is DOWNWARD! When I lost 20ish pounds on Weight Watchers before SuzyQ was in the picture, they would always remind us that you can't sustain large losses every week, and you've done so well losing nearly every week of your diet that you should definitely not be discouraged.
Praying your cold goes away so you can feel like exercising again. Thanks again for encouraging me on my own little weight loss journey. :0)
keep chugging. No bad moods- only one more month until BREAK!!!
Kellie- YOU'RE a hoot and you crack ME up!! Ha...no I don't think I will be able to manage the Gazelle at 70!
Thank you, Kathleen. I appreciate your encouragement today. I'm so proud of you for sticking with it this week and really glad it paid off!
Heather, I canNOT wait for April!!! I reread my post and I wasn't in as bad of a mood as it sounded. However, I was feeling a bit frustrated with my computer!!! It was very stubborn this a.m.
Love you, ladies! Thanks for your prayers!!
